Strategic Planning Stakeholder Consultation

Published Mon 22 Aug 2022

Softball Australia is planning its strategy for the next 10 years, and we need your help.

As part of developing the next iteration of the Softball Australia Strategic Plan, Softball Australia is undertaking a Stakeholder Engagement process to better shape our strategy for the next decade.

Accordingly, Softball Australia will be contacting stakeholders across several groups in the coming weeks, seeking feedback about their experiences in softball, and the current and future position of the sport in Australia.

Stakeholders that are contacted will be asked to participate in a short online Mentimeter session, that will allow their feedback to be collected in a secure and anonymous environment.

Stakeholder groups that will be contacted include coaches, umpires, and selectors across a range of levels, high-performance and community athletes, State and Territory administrators, and a sample of randomised softball members.

Softball Australia CEO Rosie Williams OBE reflected on the importance of capturing a large cross-section of stakeholders, saying, “Our strategy is going to be for the next 10 years, and we need a plan that caters for everyone in the sport, from performance athletes through to those who might just want to play 3rd grade for 25 years. It also has to encompass all the people we need to run our sport, from umpires, coaches, and scorers, to club players and volunteers.

“This type of comprehensive stakeholder engagement process will give us a far better picture of what we need to be doing to serve the interests of all participants in the sport.”

Stakeholders identified for feedback will be contacted via email. If you are contacted, please help us determine the strategic path for softball by providing honest and detailed feedback.
