Sports Excellence scholarships – Helping young athletes on their sporting journey

Has representing your state been a challenge because of the cost involved?

By providing scholarships worth up to $1,000, the Sports Excellence Scholarship Fund (SESF) aims to help athletes who face financial difficulties when selected to represent their state.

The financial scholarships allow athletes to compete at national or international sporting events when they otherwise might not be able to afford to do so.

Scholarships are currently available for athletes attending the Under 14, 16 and 18’s National Championships and could assist some families in the lead up to these events.

To be eligible, athletes must be aged between 10 and 18, and families must demonstrate financial hardship. Closing date is one week prior to each event.

The SESF is a national charity, and SESF scholarships also include mentoring, alumni education, and ongoing support.
