Despite COVID-19 impacting SSV’s programs in 2021, there were 7,870 primary school and 2,050 secondary school sport participation opportunities provided in Softball with 10,585 primary school participation opportunities in Teeball in 2021.
Softball Australia National Participation Manager, Nick Frayne, said: “We are excited to be partnering with SSV to deliver Softball and Teeball programs in schools throughout Victoria. School sport is a critical aspect of Softball Australia’s National Participation Plan and this partnership solidifies our investment into growing participation and getting more Victorian students involved in school Softball and Teeball and transitioning to our community clubs.
“The timing of this partnership couldn’t be better with a brand-new participation product suite to be launched nationally in the coming months focusing on providing fun, positive softball experiences through modified games and inclusive formats including Teeball”, Frayne said.
