Softball Australia invite applications to new National Youth Council

Published Mon 30 Jan 2023

Softball Australia is pleased to announce the creation of the National Youth Council, and we are looking for enthusiastic members of the Australian softball community - who are under the age of 19 and over the age of 13 - to play their part.

The Softball Australia (SA) National Youth Council (NYC) will be established to enhance the link between SA as the governing body of softball in Australia, and the next generation of up-and-coming softball participants. It aims to provide a sounding board for the youth perspective of how softball can continue to grow from strength to strength.

As part of the NYC, members will act as ambassadors for the game, working alongside SA staff on several projects and working groups. Goals of the NYC include increasing the number of young people involved in softball, as well as providing support and insights from a youth perspective to SA working groups.

This is an opportunity for young members of the softball community to get their voices heard and be part of shaping the future of softball in Australia.

To apply to join the inaugural NYC:
In 200 words (or less), tell us why you want to be involved in the Softball Australia National Youth Council, and what experience you will bring to the role. Applications must be sent to info@softball.org.au with the subject line: Softball Australia National Youth Council Application.

Applications close at end of 28 February 2023.
