SA’s Fully Loaded Softball streaming weekly

Softball South Australia’s third annual Fully Loaded Softball tournament kicks off this Thursday 2 September at 7pm AEST with all the action available live on Facebook.

The tournament will run over the next four Thursday nights (2, 9, 16 and 23 September) and will feature some of the best women softballers in the country, including Olympian Belinda White along with Travelodge Aussie Spirit squad members, Chelsea Robinson, and Georgia Hood who were part of the Japan camp in Ota City.

 

 

Travelodge Aussie Spirit players Steph Trzcinski, Maddie Cameron and Jordan Harris also adding to the star power.

Joining them are some of the brightest up and coming South Australians including current and former Junior Aussie Spirit members Amber Hood, Sophie Roberts, Millie Fidge and Neve Adams as well as representatives from the U17 Australia Girls squad Georgia Ballard, Charlize Callaghan, Harper Bridley, Taylor Chillingworth and Emilia Dolphin.

Among a plethora of state representatives is also Aroha Munroe from the Junior Whitesox and Steph Collett, fresh off a National Championship in the NAIA College program in the USA this year.

In total, 47 Adelaide based players will battle it out over the four-week tournament in the fast-paced Fully Loaded format which see games start with loaded bases for both teams in three innings. Following three rounds, the top-ranked team will advance straight to the Final on 23 September, with second and third to play on the same night to decide their opponent.

Spacequake Sports will broadcast the four nights of action, further extending their strong relationship with Softball SA and fulfilling their production needs.

Softball SA State Operations Manager James Harris said he looks forward to showcasing high-quality softball to the nation through their Social Media channels.

“We’re very much looking forward to bringing high-quality softball to the screens of fans outside of South Australia through Spacequake’s fantastic production,” said Harris.

“Being in South Australia we know how fortunate we are to be out on the diamond playing in front of friends and family, and hopefully by streaming our Fully Loaded tournament, we can bring a little respite to softball fans around the country currently affected by lockdown laws.”

Players are split into three teams, with three games per night, and In 2021, the support of local businesses continues with naming rights of the teams.

Emmsee Sportswear are backing the Thunder with Commercial Partitions & Carpentry (CPC) supporting the Angels, Bob Burns Blinds are new partners and will cheer home the Pheonix in 2021.

All State Team players nominated/in squads for the 2022 Starz, U23s and U18s were included in a draft conducted on Monday 23 August.

 

 

Harris expressed his thanks to Bob Burns Blinds, Commercial Partitions & Carpentry (CPC) and Emmsee Sportswear for their support of softball in the state.

“Our sincere thanks to our partners for their continued support of softball in South Australia, it’s fantastic to be able to attach them to our three teams in our third year of Fully Loaded Softball,” added Harris.

In Addition to CPC’s support of the Angels, they will also back a Homerun Competition with a cash prize up for grabs for the top three athletes who have the most homeruns to their name following the four weeks.
