Softball Australia is pleased to announce that National Participation Manager Nick Frayne has been selected as a mentor in the Australian Sport Mentoring Collective to provide support and guidance to emerging female leaders in the sector.

The Australian Sport Mentoring Collective is an initiative from the Australian Sports Commission that aims to increase diversity at the senior level in sport and will run online over six months, with both mentors and mentees undertaking formal training to ensure participants feel confident in their role.

The list of 37 mentors includes CEOs, sport scientists, and coaches, who will work alongside 37 women in sport as part of the inaugural Australian Sport Mentoring Collective.

National Participation Manager Nick Frayne said, “I’m very proud to be selected as a mentor in the Australian Sport Mentoring Collective, and to be able to provide support and guidance to emerging female leaders in the sector. This is an incredibly exciting initiative that aims to give back to the industry and ensure females receive the same support I had over my journey.”

The mentoring program has been designed to complement the ASC’s Women Leaders in Sport program, which has helped more than 26,000 women further their leadership skills since being established in 2002.
