Softball Australia is pleased to announce the reappointment of Mike Titheradge as Team Manager for the Aussie Steelers.  

Mike’s reappointment will see him manage the team at the 2022 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup, which is scheduled to be held from 26 November to 4 December 2022 at Auckland in New Zealand.

Mike brings a wealth of experience to the position, having being Team Manager for the Aussie Steelers since 2001.

Next year’s event will be Mike’s eighth World Cup/Championship as Team Manager – his seventh with the Aussie Steelers, including the 2009 World Champion team; in addition to managing the Junior Steelers at the 2018 World Championship, where Australia’s junior men’s team won gold.

In 2015 Mike was inducted into Softball Australia’s Hall of Fame, for his outstanding commitment and service to Softball Australia over such a lengthy period of time.

Having a person of Mike’s calibre in the Team Manager role ensures that all off-diamond matters for the Aussie Steelers are attended to in the most professional manner, allowing the team to focus and perform their best on the diamond.
