Published Wed 16 Aug 2023
Earlier today, the International Softball Congress (ISC) announced that four players would be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the 2024 ISC World Tournament. That list includes the first ever Australian to be inducted into the ISC Hall of Fame, Softball Australia Hall of Fame member Jeff Goolagong.
For those who are new to the game, Jeff played 110 games for Australia over a long and distinguished career and was a member of the 2009 ISF World Championship winning Aussie Steelers team.
The shortstop/utility earned his induction off the back of making the ISC All-World Team six times and winning three ISC World Championships, including two with County Materials and one with The Farm Tavern.
Since 1958, the annual ISC has drawn the best players around the world, earning it the reputation as the most prestigious men's softball competition in the world.
The annual ISC Hall of Fame Breakfast and Induction ceremony will be on the first Sunday of the 2024 ISC World Tournament in Surrey, BC, and will also include previous nominees Brad Rona and the late Craig Donaldson.
