Summary: Under 23 Men
Just as they had done previously, New South Wales and Queensland posted big wins to start the day. Queensland scored eight runs before the ACT had rounded the bases once on their way to an 11-1 victory. New South Wales were even more dominant over Victoria, recording eight runs in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings for a 19-2 win.
Queensland backed their win up with another strong display over hosts Victoria, coming away 11-4 in front. The top of the batting order dominated for Queensland, with the top four batters all recording at least two hits and two runs.
Queensland then completed a perfect day with a hard-fought win over NSW. Queensland scored all their runs in the opening three innings, and then managed to hold off the Blue Bloods for a 4-3 win. Corie List and Michael Ludkin continuing their good form, with two hits each.
ACT broke apart their game against Victoria in the 5th inning of their afternoon encounter, piling on four runs to one in the 7-3 win. Matt Harrow and Nathan Lynch the pick of the ACT batters, with two runs and two hits each.

Day 3 What to Watch For
With just over one round remaining, Queensland have taken control of the tournament with wins over all other teams on Day 2. They also have the most runs scored, and least runs scored against. NSW looks the team most likely to challenge, with only three runs in total separating the teams in their previous results. NSW have also inflicted Queensland’s only loss in the tournament.
ACT continue to look promising, but like Victoria, too often they let one or two innings get away from them defensively, which ultimately costs them the game. Both sides have promising players to keep an eye on however, with ACT’s Matt Harrow and Luke Russell for Victoria shouldering considerable workloads for their respective states.
