Softball Australia Supports Community Coaching Essential Skills Course
Published Wed 27 Jul 2022
Softball Australia is pleased support the refreshed Community Coaching Essential Skills Course from Sport Australia.
In April this year, Sport Australia launched a refreshed Community Coaching Essential Skills Course for all coaches within Australia, replacing the General Principles course.
The Community Coaching Essential Skills Course provides coaches with the skills needed to create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for participants, and understand the needs, aspirations, and motivations of players.
It has been developed in collaboration with the sports sector and is aimed at reshaping the sporting experience to encourage more people to play, coach, and enjoy sports.
The free course takes around three hours the complete online, and has been designed so coaches can learn at their own pace, completing each module anytime, anywhere, and on any device.
All relevant staff within Softball Australia have successfully completed the course, and Softball Australia is working towards replacing the Softball Australia Coaching Community and Officiating General Principles Course in its coaching resources, to further upskill and educate our community coaches.
The new Essential Skills Course can be accessed via the Australian Sport Learning Centre here.
