Australia A put up a brave fight but was unable to overcome a strong start from Mexico, ultimately falling 1-5 on day four of the Canada Cup. Mexico seized an early advantage in the bottom of the first inning when Jillian Isabella Celis launched a solo home run over right field. The Mexicans extended their lead with a three-run surge, fuelled by a triple from Savannah Marie Wysocki Gonzalez with bases loaded.

Australia A managed to trim the deficit in the top of the fifth inning, as Caitlin Laird's double allowed Taylor Chillingworth to score, but they were unable to add any further runs to the scorecard. Despite their efforts, the team was unable to mount a comeback against Mexico's solid performance.

Looking ahead, Australia A will face Israel and Italy in a doubleheader tomorrow, aiming to finish the tournament on a positive note. The team will strive to showcase their resilience and determination, seeking to end their campaign on a high.

Day four showcased the unwavering determination of the Australian Under-19 team as they emerged victorious in both games of their doubleheader, completing the round-robin stage undefeated.

In the first game against Langford Lightning U19 Gold, Australia U-19 delivered a strong performance, capitalising with a productive third and fourth innings scoring four runs in each frame. With Australia U-19 in control holding an 8-0 lead, Langford managed to score three runs in the fifth inning. However, the Aussies held their ground, preventing any further comeback attempts and ultimately securing an 8-3 victory. Hannah Scott stood out with an impressive display at the plate, collecting three RBIs from three hits in four at-bats. Additionally, Ineke Keed, Bianca Markham, and Matilda Newman contributed RBIs to bolster the team's offensive success. Jayda Lorigan showcased her skills from the pitching mound, tallying six strikeouts while allowing six hits and three runs over six innings.

In their second game against the Red Deer Rage U19, Australia U-19 demonstrated composure under pressure, prevailing with a 4-2 scoreline. With a clear record entering the game, the Aussies faced high expectations but quickly eased any concerns by taking an early one-run lead in the first inning, courtesy of Soraya Hamson's steal of home.

Although Red Deer Rage U19 briefly took the lead with two runs in the top of the fourth inning, an error by their defence allowed Australia U-19 to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth. The Aussies completed the comeback with two runs in the sixth frame, as Zoe Taylor's single brought Bianca Markham home, followed by Caitlin Hosking capitalizing on a fielding error and scoring.

The Australian Under-19 team's undefeated run in the round-robin stage is a testament to their spirit, skill, and ability to rise to the occasion. They showcased exceptional performances both at the plate and on the mound, highlighting their collective determination and talent.

The final day of the round-robin stage proved challenging for the Australia Under-17 softball team, as they suffered defeats in both games of their doubleheader.

In their first game, Australia U-17 engaged in a hard-fought battle against the St. Alberts Angels, ultimately falling short with a narrow 0-1 loss. Both teams struggled to find hits, with the young Aussies facing a formidable opponent in pitcher Maliya Pankiw, who allowed only three hits while recording an impressive 12 strikeouts. Defensive skills were on full display from both sides, as neither team committed a single error in the field.

The second game posed a greater challenge for Australia U-17, as they struggled to keep up with the offensive ability of the Cloverdale Fury 07 Gold, resulting in a 3-13 defeat. Cloverdale displayed an impressive batting performance, amassing 13 runs from an equal number of hits. The damage was done early in the game, with Cloverdale unleashing an offensive assault in the first inning, scoring six runs to establish their dominance. They added three more runs in the second inning, extending their lead to 9-0. Australia U-17 showed resilience by regaining composure and producing runs of their own, with Raine Eastcott recording an RBI in the third inning, and Milla Durnell delivering two RBIs in the fourth inning.

Although Australia U-17 faced adversity and pressure throughout the day, they gained valuable experience in coping with challenging pressured situations. These learning opportunities will ultimately contribute to their growth and development as players. The team will draw upon these lessons to further develop their skills and mental strength as they head to the playoff stage.
