Softball Australia is thrilled to confirm the Australian U-23 Men’s team's participation in the 2025 WBSC Oceania Softball Qualification Event, set to be held from April 4-6 in Palmerston North, New Zealand. This pivotal tournament marks the beginning of the team’s journey to defend their U-23 Men’s World Championship title, serving as the gateway to next year’s World Cup Finals. Bringing together the best young talent from across the region, this event promises to highlight the exceptional skills, determination, and competitive spirit that define our athletes on the international stage.

In addition to the U23 Men’s team, the U18 Men’s team will also travel to Auckland, providing a valuable development opportunity to compete against New Zealand's squads. This experience promises to enhance their skills through exposure to international play and camaraderie.

Athletes selected for the U-18 and U-23 Men’s tour of New Zealand will be notified by the middle of February 2025. These athletes will be required to contribute a levy to cover travel and accommodation expenses for the tour. Softball Australia is committed to balancing these costs while providing our athletes with exceptional preparation and support to compete at their best on the international stage.

Softball Australia is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for Coaching/Officials staff positions to support both teams in their journey to Auckland. We invite qualified and passionate individuals within our community to apply and contribute their expertise to our teams' success. Applicants may express interest in multiple roles by clearly indicating their preferences, and for which team they would like to be considered for, within the cover letter.
