Aussie Spirit took it to the World Champions, USA going down 2-1 in 8 innings
Tarni Stepto pitched one of the best games of her short international career today holding out the Americans for seven scoreless innings before giving up two runs in the 8th innings.
The Aussie Spirit showed true grit today with a much better defensive display against the World Champions. In the box, the Aussies still missed opportunities to convert with loaded bases in the 6th and the 8th inniing.
A loaded bases walk to Jade Wall scored Australia's run in the top of the 8th.
