The Aussie Steelers are set to compete in two major international tours in 2025. These tours represent significant opportunities for our athletes to compete on the world stage, showcase their skills, and build on the proud legacy of Australian men’s softball as they look to defend their World Champions title.

2025 WBSC Men’s World Cup Finals – Prince Albert, Canada

The Aussie Steelers will take centre stage at the 2025 WBSC Men’s World Cup Finals, held in Prince Albert, Canada, from 8–14 July 2025. This prestigious tournament will see the world’s best teams vying for the ultimate prize in men’s softball.

The Australian team’s travel dates are expected to be 25 June – 17 July 2025, allowing for essential preparation and training in Canada before the competition begins. This tour provides a vital platform for the Steelers to compete at the highest level, continuing their tradition of excellence on the global stage.

2025 World Games – Chengdu, China

The journey continues as the National Men’s team heads to Chengdu, China, to compete in the 2025 World Games, scheduled from 6–10 August 2025. The World Games is a multi-sport event that takes place every four years and is considered one of the biggest sporting events outside of the Olympics. This event brings together elite athletes from around the world and offers another supreme opportunity to represent Australia on an international platform.

Travel dates for the World Games will be confirmed closer to the event, but Softball Australia is already making plans to ensure the team is well-prepared to deliver their best performance.

Athletes selected for the National Men’s program tours will be notified by mid-March 2025.

Expressions of Interest – Coaching and Support Staff

Softball Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for Coaching and Support Staff positions for these tours. These roles provide an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the Aussie Steelers as they take on the world’s best.

With two significant tours on the horizon, the Aussie Steelers are set to showcase their skills, determination, and teamwork on the global stage. These events represent a vital step in the continued success of Australian men’s softball, and we encourage all qualified individuals to join us in supporting our athletes.
