Day 2 Schedule:

Game 9: WA v SA 9:30AM AWST

Five-straight scoring innings has helped WA overturn an early deficit to win by five runs. Kirra Gilchrist pitched a full game for WA, taking seven strikeouts in the process, while the batting line-up for WA showed had their eye in, with only three not registering a hit.

Tina Horton and Olivia Bonello have combined for 4RBI to help NSW edge out QLD in a tight one. The scores were level at 1-1 until the sixth inning when Bonello stepped up to hit a double and score one, followed by a Horton single to score two. Jayda Lorigan had a strong performance in the centre, taking 13 strikeouts and limiting QLD to just three hits.

SA hold on to win 7-6 after leading 7-2 after the fourth. The ACT comeback began in the fifth when Heather Solomon scored on an SA error, before hitting a single in the sixth to score two. SA managed to finish the seventh inning without adding to their error count of 10 and hold on for the win.

Game 12: VIC v QLD 12:30PM AWST

Queensland's three-run second-inning was enough to hold out a Victorian side that managed seven hits for only two runs. It was 3-0 until the sixth when Lillia Greene and Tahuna Rhind-Luke both managed scoring-doubles, but QLD were able to hold firm and limit VIC, allowing just one hit in the seventh.

Game 13: VIC v NSW 3:00PM AWST

Victoria have fallen by a single run in back-to-back games, this time against New South Wales in another tight one. The VIC hitters set the score for NSW to chase in the first inning. NSW managed a late fightback with three in the fifth and the winning run in the seventh. Jessica Smith took seven strikeouts for NSW from four innings, closing out the game and allowing NSW's comeback to eventuate.

Game 14: NSW v SA 5:30PM AWST

NSW needed just four innings to notch their third win on the day, with a 10-run demolition of SA. Jayda Lorigan took six strikouts from three innings pitched, while the batters scored nine in just two innings to bring about the runs-ahead-rule at the end of the fourth.

Western Australia make the statement of the tournament with a monster batting performance against the ACT. Through two innings it was tight as the ACT kept up with WA 8-6, but an eight run fourth put the game to bed as ACT only manage the one run from a wild pitch. Only two of WA's batters didn't manage a hit on the night, and will no doubt carry plenty of confidence into day three on the back of this performance.

Day 2 Schedule:

Game 6: NSW v QLD 9:00AM AWST

The opening game of day two was an absolute shootout and a superb comeback for NSW. QLD got themselves to an eight-nothing lead by the top of the third, until NSW got their eye in at bat, scoring seven in the third and eight in the fourth to make it 15-11. QLD scored four more to tie the game going into the bottom of the seventh, until Timothy Gleen stepped up to hit a game winning home run to score Lachlan Hort and end the game.

Game 7: VIC v ACT 11:30AM AWST

Victoria grab their second win the of the tournament, putting nine past the ACT. The likes of Jack Hotere-Moana and Ethan Ainslie made life difficult for the ACT, combining for a 5RBI outing. A seven-run lead was enough to enforce the runs-ahead-rule in the sixth inning.

WA prove too strong for the ACT, who lost their second straight game by a large margin on day two. Tyson French and Liam Meharry both notched two hits and 3RBIs as part of a batting lineup that caught fire in the third and fourth innings. Geoffrey Kerr and French combined to take six strikeouts from the four innings.

NSW deliver Victoria's first shutout of the tournament, scoring in five of six innings to take top spot after day two. Seth Charter-Smith combined with Dante Machiavello to take 10 strikeouts and keep the VIC squad restricted to just the single hit.

WA deny NSW a chance to finish day two with both U18 and U19 teams undefeated with a convincing 11-1 win to end the day. The host team was holding a handy three-run lead heading into the seventh when they hit the afterburners to bring home another seven. Geoffrey Kerr with 3RBI and Tyson French managing three singles for 2RBI while pitching the full game and helping contain NSW to the solitary run.
