The Firestars' Grace Wrixon went 2-3 with 4RBI and Stacey Porter hit a walk-off home run. On the defensive side Kandra Lamb and Chantelle Ladner combined for seven strikeouts.

A late comeback wasn't enough for ACT, while the Flames celebrate off the back of RBIs from Stacey Sullivan, Sara Riou, Tori Bolland and Justus Perry. Alyssa Charter-Smith pitched the complete game with three strikeouts to her name.

The tying run was on third base for the Titans at the bottom of the seventh however the Heat got the win off the bats of Rena Tatsumi, Tamieka Whitefield and Suzuka Yamane. Brooke McNamara and Sandra Holden kept the Titans in check from the pitching circle.

The Firestars' perfect record continues with a big win over the Flames. Taylah Tsitsikronis went 4-4 with 5RBI from a single, triple and two home runs. Chantelle Ladner and Grace Wrixon shared the pitching duties, combining for another four strikeouts.

SA Starz showed their strengths on offence with a six-run second inning the difference maker against the ACT Diamonds in game 13. The win puts the Starz in the driving seat for top-two while keeping the pressure on the yet-to-be-defeated NSW Firestars.

Another clinical display from the NSW Firestars as they put nine past the VIC Titans to put one foot inside the finals after just five games.

The Titans kept the Firestars scoreless in three of the five innings, but were unable to score.

The win makes it a clean sweep of wins and scoreless opponents for NSW in the first half of the draw.

The final result of the day has SA Starz consolidate second place with a 3-0 win over WA Flames in a close one. Stephanie Trzcinski kept the Flames scoreless, with 12 strikeouts.

That concludes the first round of games and leaves the Starz with a 4-1 record in their quest to defend the Gilley's Shield.

The Flames head into the second half with a 2-3 record and sit in forth - a game adrift of QLD.
