Jay Selu has been added to the Aussie Steelers Team ahead of 2022 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup, replacing Layton Reid who has had to withdraw. The Steelers selection panel elevated Selu from the squad into the team on the back of his recent performance at the 2022 Australian Men's National Championships where he was awarded Best Pitcher for the ACT 89ers. Selu is no stranger to national representation after making his Aussie Steelers debut at the 2017 TAB Challenge Cup.
Selu is one of five Steelers from the Australian Capital Territory along with Adam Folkard, Matthew Harrow, Joshua McGovern and Joshua White.
The WBSC Men's Softball World Cup starts on the 26th of November with the Steelers opening their Group B campaign against Denmark. Fans will be able to watch all 50 games of the Men's Softball World Cup on Gametime.
