Mental Health

Softball Australia emphasizes the health and welfare of its athletes, focusing on establishing a supportive culture that fosters their overall well-being and accomplishments. To achieve this objective, the organisation offers athletes, coaches, and support staff within the high-performance network access to psychology and well-being education and resources.

This ensures they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to excel in both competitive environments and their daily routines.

The AIS Mental Health Referral Network provides eligible (categorised) athletes, alumni, and individuals from Australia’s high-performance sports system with priority access to a network of AIS-endorsed psychologists, and mental health clinicians across the country.

AIS Be Heard is the place anyone in Australian high performance sport – past or present - can turn to for help.

AIS Be Heard is where everyone can feel safe to share their experiences and seek support. It’s free, independent and completely confidential. There are no obligations.

Gymnastics Australia wants to make sure everyone within our organisation – past and present – feels safe to share their experiences and seek support if they ever need it.

We want to make sure you are aware of AIS Be Heard, a free, independent, and confidential support service for current and former athletes, coaches and staff in Australian high-performance sport.

We will always encourage you to use the wellbeing services within our organisation as you need them, but we also understand you may feel more comfortable turning to someone else for help on occasions. Our main priority is that you do seek and get that support if, and when, you need it.

The AIS Be Heard website details some of the issues you may want to discuss and how they can help. It can be anonymous and there are no obligations – you are in control of your situation and how you’d like it to be handled.
