Volunteers Statisticians Task Force

As Softball Australia were deep in preparations for the inaugural U-23 Men’s Softball World Championships, the team were faced with a problem. It would take some creativity to provide the coaching team with the opposition analysis they’d need to get the team to the competition’s pointy end. The result? The formation of a group of passionate volunteers, now known as the Statisticians Task Force (STF).

Australia crowned World Champions at Under-23 Men's Softball World Cup

World No. 4 Australia claimed the inaugural WBSC U-23 Men's Softball World Cup title behind pitching ace Jack Besgrove's masterful performance against Japan in their 1-0 win in the World Championship Final on Sunday evening in Paraná, Argentina. The Australian vice-co-captain led his team from the front, pitching a complete-game shutout with 11 strikeouts.
